TASTER SESSIONS
If you've never climbed before, this is an ideal opportunity to come along and give it a go. This is suitable for adults and children or can be tailor-made to group requirements. Taster sessions last for 1 hour and are available most days and evenings.

NEVER CLIMBED BEFORE?
This is the ideal course if you have never climbed before and want to get to grips with the basics of rock climbing in a safe, structured environment. The course consists of three seperate one and a half-hour sessions (total four and a half hours), which concentrates on basic rope work and climbing skills.
All equipment is provided; all you need is something you feel comfortable to wear and can move around freely in. Courses are run regularly, just give us a shout to check. On successful completion the course, you can then use the Wall unsupervised subject to the Wall conditions and if you so wish become a member and receive a reduced rate admission. If you’re not sure about enjoying this exciting sport, try a Taster Session first.

NB:
Children aged 3-7 years can join the Gecko club and youths aged 7-13 years can join the Rock Monkeys Club, helping them to gain the skill an confidence needed to climb unsupervised. Click here to find more info on clubs.
BOULDERING SESSIONS
Bouldering sessions are a must for any aspiring climber and is an essential part of any climber's training regime. This course will change the way you move over rock and you’ll understand why so many people get addicted to bouldering. Sessions are with a fully qualified instructor and last for one hour.

ANDREW EARL CLIMBING WORKSHOPS
These sessions are for anyone wanting expert help to improve their climbing ability. The sessions will last for 2 hours between 7 and 9 for up to 6 climbers per session. During the sessions a range of areas will be covered including:
*Assessment of climbing Strengths and weaknesses
*Working on climbing techniques
*Working on increasing strength and endurance
*Setting exercises to help develop areas of weakness
Andrew Earl will run the sessions; Andy is a sport scientist and also British junior team coach with over 10 years of climbing experience.

LEAD CLIMBING INDUCTION
Want to climb the big wall?! You need to be able to lead climb. This course is a logical progression once top-roping has been mastered. Learn the difference in belay techniques, how to clip into quickdraws and to sport climb safely. Three 1.5 hour sessions will get you there, although it won’t guarantee that you’ll reach the top of the wall!
Courses run most of the time, ask at reception for more information.
