CHECKLIST
Once you’ve got over the fact that you’re in this incredible climbing environment and all your faculties are in place, you have to be able to do the following:
In order to climb at Sunderland Wall, it is necessary for a climber to be able to perform three basic safety procedures:
1. To put on a harness correctly.
2. To tie on to the rope having threaded it correctly through the harness using a 'figure of eight' or 'bowline' knot.
3. Belay using a recommended belay-device and harness correctly.
---
Any climber 18 years and over can sign in and commence climbing after declaring themselves competent to perform the above procedures, and accepting the conditions of Sunderland Wall.
Young climbers who can adhere to the above procedures can climb provided they have parental consent.
